Half day Citadel & Egyptian Museum – USD68 pp
The Egyptian Museum is the most important depository of Egyptian antiquities anywhere in the world. It features artifacts from the Pharaonic and Graeco-Roman periods, including the celebrated mummies of ancient Egypt’s king and Tut Ankh Amun treasures.

The Citadel is situated on a spur of the Muqattam Hills, dominating Cairo’s skyline and was the nerve center of the city and Egypt for almost 700 years. Its construction was initiated in 1176 by Saladin and completed by Muhammad Ali. Mameluke sultans and Turkish governors later on made it their residence, building palaces and mosques within the Citadel walls. Facing the Citadel is the Mosque of Sultan Hassan, built between 1356 and 1363 and perhaps the most majestic monument of Arab architecture in Egypt.

Half day Dahshour – USD49 pp
Dahshur forms the southernmost area of the Memphis Necropolis and contains a number of pyramid complexes and monuments. Dahshur has only recently been opened to the public, having been a military zone until 1996. As a result the area is not as developed commercially as Giza, and there is a certain peace and tranquility to the site still. It is most noteworthy for being the site that best demonstrates the change from the "step" pyramid to the "true" pyramid that occurred during the Third and Fourth Dynasties.

Memphis & Sakkara – USD65 pp
Memphis served as the capital of Upper and Lower Egypt some 5,000 years ago during the 1st Dynasty. Menes, the first pharaoh of this dynasty built a great white-walled palace and the Temple of Ptah here.

Sakkara one of the most exciting historical and archaeological areas in all of  Egypt is Sakkara, situated about 12 miles Southwest of Cairo. The site is dominated by the famous step pyramid of King Zoser. It was the first pyramid to be built in ancient Egypt, preceding those at Giza by many centuries, and is the work of the famous pharaonicarchitect Imhotep.

Pyramids & Sphinx (the pyramids of Cheops, Chephran and Mycerinus) – USD54 pp
Were reckoned by the Greeks to be one of the seven wonders of the world. A single pyramid is built of 2,300,000 blocks, each weighing an average of 2 ½ tons. In the face of such immensity, one cannot help but feel the wonder and awe that so many writers and artists have sought to convey over the centuries. The Cheops Pyramid is especially interesting since its interior burial chambers are open for inspection by the public.

Not far from the Pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, which dates from the time of Chephren (2620 BC). Hewn from natural yellowish limestone and standing 65 feet high and 187 feet long, this unforgettable statue combines the head of a Pharaoh with a lion’s body.

Guests are transferred to the Nile Bank to board the cruise for two hours sailing on the Nile. Guests enjoy the cruise at night together with live music while an open buffet dinner is served. After dinner a belly dancer performs with a professional Oriental band and singer.

Full day Alexandria with Local Lunch – USD182 pp
Alexandria was founded by Alexander the Great in 332 BC. However, he left before a single stone was laid for the city. It was only until after his death that one of his generals, Ptolemy I Soter made the city a functioning community. Alexandria’s place in world history is undisputable. A port city, its citizens played an instrumental role in the development of mathematics, engineering and medicine. Besides its material and scientific achievements, Alexandria also served as center for Christian thought. Today it is Egypt’s second largest city and, although little of the ancient city remains, Alexandria still offers plenty tourist attractions.

Sights to visit:

Panoramic view of Fort Qaitbay
Located at the western tip of Alexandria’s harbour stands Fort Qaytbey. The fort was built by Sultan Qaytbey in 1479 with the remains of the legendary Pharaoh’s lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. A powerful earthquake sometime in the 1300’s reduced the towering lighthouse to rubble and Fort Qaitbay is built on its original site.

Alexanderia Library
The international community has taken the first step towards effacing the disaster caused by the fire that burned down the old library more than 1600 years ago, by supporting the Revival of the Ancient Library of Alexandria Project. The revival of the Ancient Library of Alexandria Project aims at building a universal modern public library to be a center of culture, science and academic research. The library is to provide both the national and international communities of scholars and researchers with unique collections and facilities focusing on Alexandrian, Egyptian, ancient and medieval civilizations as well as on contemporary disciplines. The Library also has valuable collections of science and technology resource materials to help the socio-economic and cultural development studies on Egypt and the region.

El Montazah Gardens
This 115-acre complex is surrounded by great walls from the south, east and west, and with the beach on its north side. This area used to belong to the Mohamed Ali family that ruled Egypt from the mid 19th century until 1952. The construction was started in 1892 by King Abbas II, who built a large palace inside the complex called the Salamlek. In 1932 King Fuad built a larger palace and called it the Haramlik. His son King Farouk, built a bridge to the sea to act as a waterfront. The rest of the 115 acres is nothing but beautiful gardens. Palm trees and gazelles cover the area. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy the beauty of Alexandria.

A special seafood lunch is provided on the bay of Abukir, scene of the naval battle between Nelson and Napoleon.

Full day Ismailia with Local Lunch – USD136 pp
Drive for nearly 2hours to reach Ismailia, located on Lake Timsah along the coast of the Canal, halfway between Port Said and Suez. It’s approximately 120 km from Cairo by the direct route "desert highway" or 135 km by the countryside road.

The Ismailia Governorate has several ancient and antiquity areas:
Tal Al-Maskhota: It is in Abu Seir village and was called so when workers found statues there in 1886. But in fact this place was "Baraton Ai" town. There is god Aton temple made from basalt, a Ptolemies alabaster coffin from the Ptolemi age, which is moved now to the Ismailia Museum. It is one of the most important tourism places.

El-Timsah Lake:
Tal Al-Sahabe and Al-Azba 16: It is about 2 km south Abu Seir. There are monuments from the ages of Hyksos, Greek and Roman.

Tal Al-Naaima and Al-Gamaleen: It is 2 km south Al-Nafesha and Ismailia/Suez road. They are on the course of the Pharaonic canal "yenkao".

East Qantara town: It has Al-Riah route, Telal-Dafa, Afran, Oum Atla, Al-Sabtia and Al-Saidi. They are important ancient places, existing on Al-Biloz which was one of the Nile branches. There is also the castle of Basmatic of the 26th dynasty.

Tal Hassan Dawod: It is south Al-Baalow Al-Kobra village in Al-Dawaida village, about 4 km from Ismailia. It is one of the places dating back to the pre-historic age and beginning of the dynasties. Its tombs were discovered in 1989 through 1992. There are 350 tombs dating back to the beginning and before the dynasties age.

Tal Al-Quaa: It is south Al-Kassaseen village and about 2 km south of Mashage village, dating back to Hyksos age.

Tal Al-Ratabi: The most ancient place in Al-Tal Al-Kabeer. There they discovered a huge fence, a temble and tombs dating back to the Middle Age.

Tal Abu-Nashabe & Al-Hatab: They are south Tal Al-Hatab in the old kassaseen, on the Pharaonic canal which is known as "cisostreese" that was inaugurated during king Nakaw age of the 26th dynasty.

Al-Tal Al-Kabeer and Al-Tal Al-Sakheer: They are tourist sites, also there are Tal Al-Bahr, Tal El-Sheikh Salem and Oum Bardy and Tal Al-Hear. The Ismailia Regional Museum was established in 1932. It contains Pharaonic, Islamic, Greek and Roman collections from different periods. The memorial of 6 October 1973 Victory was inaugurated on 5 October 1992 on the east bank of the Suez Canal and was modeled after a Bayonet. Mallaha Park is a truly magnificent park covering an area of 500 acres, planted with varieties of rare flowers, trees and palm that belong to many overseas environments. Lake Timsah is known for its calm water on which many beaches are located and where there is the opportunity for many water sports. It covers an area of 14 square km. The beaches that overlook the lake are Moslem Youth, Fayrouz, Melaha, Bahary, Taawen, in addition to the Suez Canal Authority beaches.

Full day El-Fayoum with Local Lunch – USD141 pp
The Fayoum is a wonderful area of Egypt with a rich and interesting history. The peacefulness of the area is a relief from the hustle and bustle of Cairo, from which it is a brief trip. Bird life still abounds around Lake Qaroun, bordered by semi-nomadic Bedouin settlements and fishing villages. Here on the edge of the desert you can sail, windsurf, swim and fish. Other places of outstanding natural beauty near Fayoum are the hot springs at Ain al-Siliyin, where you can bath and the waterfalls at Wadi al-Rayan, 40 km towards Bahariyya, also suitable for swimming and picnics. Fayoum is not a true oasis since it depends on Nile water instead of underground springs or wells.

Visit the old churches, Coptic monasteries, the famous bazaars of Khan El Khalili dating back to the late 14th century and the Ben Ezra Synagogue.

The Ben Ezra Synagogue is in the center of Cairo. The first Jewish synagogue was destroyed when the Romans occupied Egypt and was later built by Abraham Ben Ezra, the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem. It contains a number of articrafts, including a Torah on gazelle skin dating from the 5th century BC and the manuscript known as the “Atlas of Moses”.
